David Austin ‘Kew Gardens’ Rose has small, single flowers held in very large heads, rather like a hydrangea, produced almost continuously from early summer into autumn. Soft apricot buds open to pure white, with a hint of soft lemon behind the stamens. It is extremely healthy and almost thornless. The growth is bushy and rather upright.
For almost 60 years, David Austin roses have been growing roses on their family farm in Shopshire. Much of the process is still carried out by hand, with every David Austin rose having been hand-budded, a traditional and intricate skill, and grown in dedicated rose fields in england, keeping English roses, truely English.
All David Austin roses have a collective style with beautiful blooms and in most cases wonderful fragrance held on graceful attractive shrubs. A garden of these outstanding roses is hard to beat for sheer exuberance of flower and fragrance.
The plant’s growth rate and size will vary depending on planting position & conditions.
